Types of Fusible Web
There are two types of fusible web – paper-backed and non-woven.
Paper-Backed Fusible Web:
Paper-backed fusible web has a paper backing on one side and a fusible adhesive on the other side. This type of fusible web is easier to handle and cut because of the paper backing. However, the paper backing needs to be removed before fusing the fabric which can be time-consuming.
Non-Woven Fusible Web:
Non-woven fusible web does not have any backing and has adhesive on both sides. It comes in thin sheets or rolls and can be easily cut without any added layer. This type of fusible web saves time as there is no need to remove any backing before fusing the fabric.
